A missed appointment is defined as not attending your scheduled appointment without advanced notification to your doctor. Appointments that are included in this definition are in-office visits, telehealth visits (video visits), or telephone visits.

You may notify your doctor that you will be unable to meet at the scheduled time either via a phone call or an Elation Passport message.

Our office allows for three missed appointments. At the time of the third missed appointment you will be sent a letter that formally documents the end of your care with Healing Tides Primary Care.

In addition to the above policy, Healing Tides Primary Care will bill $50 for each missed appointment, including New Patient appointments. You may also be charged $50 for any cancellations that are within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment.

If you arrive for your appointment more than 15 minutes past your appointment time, you will need to reschedule your appointment, as it will not allow adequate time to address your health concerns. This will be treated as a late cancellation.
